Its all about creating new heritage pieces that inspire the modern man's wardrobe. This collection is daring, dynamic and at the same time reflects Belstaffs legendary heritage in motorsport - Martin Cooper, Chief Creative Officer, Belstaff
Belstaffs deep-rooted history in motor racing served as the foundation for Chief Creative Officer, Martin Cooper when designing the Mens 2013 Fall/Winter collection.
Inspired by the glamour, adrenaline and daring sense of reckless abandon, the collection evokes the romanticism of the 1950s and 1960s: the golden age of motorsport.
With a fearless racer in mind, functionality and performance are only elevated by luxurious materials and impeccable craftsmanship. A down parka, inspired by the iconic Belstaff Senior TT jacket, is made entirely of the softest nappa and trimmed with shearling and fox fur and a pair of full dark brown caramel shearling trousers.
A black one-piece biker leather-racing suit is authentic in its design, and when worn with the black waxed cotton, 4-pocket jacket belted over the long lean silhouette, it is precisely Belstaff.
Materials and textures are mixed and layered: carbon luxe denim biker jeans, worn with a ribbed charcoal sweater and topped with a slate grey and black metallic shearling gilet is luxuriously rugged.
Belstaff signature waxed cotton runs though the Fall/Winter collection taking various forms and hues: rosewood, mahogany faded olive and navy. The classic Trialmaster jacket has been reinvented and reinterpreted in volumes with varying proportions and lengths. A dispatch riders hats in waxed cotton is lined with shearling and the same material is quilted to top off an industrialized pair of boots.
Archival references are apparent in the collection, but have been reinterpreted with a modern sensibility.
